Michael Rhodes: The Bottom Line
John sits down with legendary bassist Michael Rhodes. Rhodes began playing bass before his 13th birthday, and taught himself well enough to be playing professionally by the time he was 15. After moving to Austin, Texas in the 1970’s, he made enough connections to eventually move to Memphis, TN, to work with Charlie Rich’s son, Alan Rich, before finally arriving in Nashville. Since then, Rhodes has become one of the most recorded and revered bassists in the world.
