Derek Wells is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and music publisher. As a player, he has contributed to more than one hundred #1 singles for artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney, Lady A, Maren Morris, Post Malone, and Carrie Underwood. As a producer, he has produced projects for Hardy, Scotty McCreery, Maddie & Tae, and Lainey Wilson. Derek has been named the Academy of Country Music’s Guitar Player of the Year three times and was named MusicRow Guitarist of the Year in 2022. He is arguably one of Nashville’s most valuable players.
